A cooked travel agent was sentenced to more than two years in prison after he was found guilty of defrauding unsuspecting holidaymakers out of thousands of pounds. Tej Bahadur Gurung, of Hillside Crescent, South Harrow, carried out a last-minute cancellation scam through Markhor Traders Limited (MTL), where he was a director. The 54-year-old swindled almost £70,000 from 28 victims, though according to Brent and Harrow Trading Standards, the number of victims is thought to be much higher and the true scale of the scam may never be known. Pakistan’s Joint Chief of Staff Committee Chair calls on President

Kathmandu, June 19 (RSS): Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan General Zubair Mahmood Hayat on Tuesday paid a courtesy call on President of Nepal Bidya Devi Bhandari at the latter’s official residence in Sheetal Niwas. Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain found dead in France at 61

PARIS (AP) — American TV celebrity and food writer Anthony Bourdain has been found dead in his hotel room in France while working on his CNN series on culinary traditions around the world. He was 61. CNN confirmed the death, saying in a statement that Bourdain was found unresponsive Friday morning by friend and chef Eric Ripert, and calling his death a suicide. Probe committee measures Karna Shakya’s hotel in Pokhara of Nepal

NEW DELHI, May 30: At least seven people were killed and 22 injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a bus in southern Indian state of Telangana, police said Wednesday. NC objects to budget for stopping subsistence allowance to people with serious illness

Kathmandu, Main opposition Nepali Congress has expressed concern why the government cut out the subsistence allowance of Rs 5,000 every month to the people living with serious illness as kidney disease, cancer and spinal injury from the budget. The decision to provide subsistence allowance was taken by the erstwhile Nepali Congress government.
